About the Role

As the Lead – Data Science, you will guide the data science team to build predictive models, deliver analytical insights, and implement data-driven strategies that support our business objectives. You’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to develop solutions that drive growth and improve our customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Data Modeling and Advanced Analytics:
    • Lead the creation of predictive and prescriptive models for various business applications.
    • Develop advanced algorithms for machine learning, statistics, and optimization.
  2. Data Strategy and Insights:
    • Define and drive the data science strategy, aligning it with business objectives.
    • Deliver insights through dashboards, visualizations, and reports to support decision-making.
  3. Team Leadership and Mentorship:
    • Mentor data scientists, ensuring team members are aligned with project goals and best practices.
    • Manage the team’s workload and prioritize projects to meet timelines and objectives.
  4. Collaboration with Product and Engineering:
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate data science solutions within products.
    • Act as a liaison between technical teams and stakeholders to communicate project impact.
  5. Continuous Improvement and Research:
    • Stay updated on the latest advancements in data science, including machine learning algorithms, big data processing, and data privacy practices.
    • Encourage continuous learning within the team through workshops, hackathons, and peer reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 6+ years in data science, with a strong focus on modeling and analytics.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Languages: Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL.
    • Tools: Experience with data science libraries (Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
    • Big Data: Familiarity with big data platforms, such as Hadoop, Spark, or AWS Redshift.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • Leadership experience in a data science or analytics team.
  • Certification in advanced analytics or machine learning.
